Changes to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining strong security controls, we have identified the need to replace our current Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) solution, also known as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Due to some recent instability issues, the existing 2FA solution has been temporarily disabled while we evaluate suitable alternatives. We’re working to put a reliable solution in place and will provide further details in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, here are some answers to common questions. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
1. What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security used to verify your identity when logging into your Visualcare account.2. Why did we turn 2FA off?
Due to ongoing instability that was causing a poor login experience, we made the decision to temporarily disable 2FA. 3. Is my data less secure without 2FA?
We are mitigating any risk with continuous event-based tracking. 4. When will 2FA be back on?
We are reviewing solutions now and will provide an update by 30 June outlining the path forward. 5. What safeguards are in place while 2FA is off?
Event-based tracking and audit of login events. 6. Do I need to do anything?
No action is required right now. We will update you of any changes to your authentication method.
